Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a critical skill that contributes to effective leadership, team collaboration, and workplace harmony. As a long-time business continuity emergency manager and certified MSCEIT (Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test™) Assessor, I am extremely passionate about the power of emotional intelligence (EI) and how it creates the ideal emergency management. Numerous research studies and articles articulate how EI has significantly impacted nursing, law enforcement, and emergency management. In this half-day course, you will learn the dimensions of EI, complete a self-assessment to learn your EI score and be equipped to address any areas that can help improve your EI score. Participants will also participate in hands-on activities, learn the core components, and develop strategies to improve emotional self-awareness, self-regulation, and empathy. The goal is to develop you as the ideal emergency manager and provide the roadmap to enhance your emotional intelligence.
